Well, that was a lot longer than I expected.
Much has changed since I last posted, but I've also gotten a lot better at computers in the past two years, so I figured it's time to take this site to the next level. I have big plans in store for providing new features in the next few months.
Cunning Plans:
- Donations will be called tips for dumb legal compliance reasons, and fiat payment will be exclusively handled through Stripe.
- Pages will be improved to give you more information with less clicking.
- Streaming will now be available in your web browser and through multiple player types (Jellyfin and Plex).
- A family photo album will be created and login access will be given to family members.
- A wiki will be created for detailed streaming setup instructions as well as guidance on how to start your own homelab (come on, doesn't this seem fun? Be brave!).
- Blog content will no longer be subject to copyright, and will instead be provided freely for any purpose under copyleft licensing as defined by Richard Stallman's GNU Manifesto, 1985.
- We are officially supporting the Electronic Frontier Foundation to ensure that sites like this remain online. All services are now encrypted using software that the EFF makes possible.
Thank you for your continued support, even during this long hiatus. To my sole paid subscriber, you have my undying gratitude.
Stay tuned for updates, because I think some of them will be implemented very soon. Once everything is set up, I will be reaching out to friends and family with access instructions for the new services.
